Emergency Department
It's one of the key wards for providing diagnostic, treatment and vital services to emergency patients. This ward provides night and day services in the specialty of women and general patients Introducing the physical space of the emergency department
- Emergency ward of Taleghani hospital is on the ground floor with an area of about 250 square meters and easy access for ambulance and transfer of the patient inside the emergency ward. There is a patient's transfer door at the end of corridor to other preclinical and hospitalization wards.
- There is also an emergency staff restroom and a dressing room inside the emergency. There is a Trige room at the entrance of emergency where the referents are prioritized. The outpatient room is located in the entrance hall on the right which is also active in the morning and working shifts with Dr. Zahra Nikandish (the general practitioner). There is an admission and cash desk section in the hall on the left that file the emergency, hospitalization and issue a discharge bill for a patient. There is a CPR room (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) which is equipped with a resuscitation bed and other equipment
- There are five under control beds in the hall which are separated by appropriate curtains from the hall area. All beds are equipped with nurse call system. After that, the obstetric room is located. In front of it, a room is used for different uses such as staff dressing and clean clothes.
- The nurse station is compartmentalized and it is used as a nurse working room.
- There is a computer at the nurse station to register the provided services at HIS by an operational nurse. There is a brush -washing room with cabinets at the end of the corridor and it is also used as a strong room and there is a staff restroom in front of it.
- After that, there is an exit door which is connected to other wards.
- There isn't any independent laboratory or radiology section. The laboratory and radiology sections of the hospital perform the needed and relevant services for the emergency ward.
- The ultrasound unit of the hospital is only active a couple of hours a day and it is performed by physician in urgent cases.
The emergency includes the following units:
- Triage: it is a process of determining the priority of patients' treatments based on the severity of their condition.
- Outpatient Unit
- Emergency Admission and Resuscitation Room
- Midwifery (Obstetric) Room
- Emergency Referrals
In the Referral Ward
- All patients are assigned in less than 6 hours.
- The emergency hospitalization which has six active beds is located next to the outpatient and admission section
- This section has a baby revitalization bed and a baby incubator.

- The experienced staff and expert nurse include 11 employees who have worked at least 3 years in this section, attend in Triage and emergency wards all the time. An experienced nurse is at the Triage and an operational nurse is in the emergency. A secretary is just in morning shift: An emergency care midwife is at the emergency room for visiting midwifery clients.
- The responsibility of all patients is with the emergency medical practitioner.
- There is a paramedic assistants, a patient carrier and anassistant servicein each shift.
